Over the past 3 weeks, every 5th grader worked on a narrative (writing incentive project). Fifteen were chosen, then all of 5th grade voted for the top ten to be published and bonded together to be sold to the rest of the school population. All of the fifth graders are contributing to the project. The students are writing and reading commercials for morning announcements, reading excerpts from the story, doing illustrations for the book, creating flyers, and/or selling the books.
A flyer will go home on Monday, November 12th to advertise the sale of the 5th grade Super Funtastic Narratives. Selling will be Tuesday-Friday. Each book will sell for $2.00. The money will be used to buy prizes for the top 3 stories, voted on by students who purchase the book. We will also use some of the money to have a 5th grade celebration.

The Figure by: Saja Ahmad
Five minutes passed, then ten, and eventually twenty. “Ugh, where is mom and dad?” Alice thought. After an hour passed, Alice fell asleep on the couch. “Thump, Thump, Thump,” Alice awakened by these weird thumping noises. “I might be imagining things,” Alice thought, “I’ll just go back to sleep.” Another hour passed then she heard a knock at the door. “Finally, they’re here!” Alice ran to the door to open it, but she got a strange feeling when she got near the door. She felt dizzy.
The Evolves are Exposed by: Noah Richard
“Look, me and you are not so different. Just let that be a hint,” I whispered to Mike as we walked out of the classroom. Mike and I go way back, when I was smaller he would treat me like I was garbage. You should know, I’m a little different than most kids, because I am an Evolve. I’m not a human. My Evolve form emits electricity. My Evolve form allows me to turn into a giant monster that not even I really know about. My Evolve Form also allows me to turn into Wraith, a demon that turns invisible, teleports, and teleports my enemies.
The Designing Show by: Thalia James
After school I got an invitation; I couldn’t wait to open it. When I saw it, I freaked out! It said, “NEW YORK.’’ I was so nervous to see what was inside, so I didn’t immediately open it. Finally, two days later I opened it. It said, “Dear April, I hope you enjoy the chance to go to New York. You, April Valentine, have the chance to go to New York for a one of a kind designing and modeling show.”
